The Canary is able to graph the concentrations of CO₂ with enough resolution to count the number of people in a room. You are even able to tell if an adventurous mouse has entered your bedroom while you were away!

For the first time ever in a consumer product, an accurate ultraviolet sensor correctly calculates the sun's intensity. All phones, watches, gadgets and gizmos have used regular light that we can see (380 nm to 750 nm) to incorrectly estimate a UV Index. The Canary only looks at harmful 240 nm to 320 nm wavelengths of radiation, those responsible for burns and wrinkles.

Not all sunlight is friendly. The Canary measures the specific wavelength of light which burns your skin and hurts your eyes. Even on a cloudy day, it is best to check. Likewise some bright days are perfectly safe to play outside.

UV-B rays cause severe sunburn and are the reason you should wear sunscreen and sunglasses.

While UV-A passes through windows and is great for indoor plants.

UV-C is only a danger to astronauts and martian settlers.

You can use the Canary to determine the direction and location of mysterious smells. In this ultra fast mode, the selected sensor displays a value as soon as it is calculated. This way you can slowly walk around while holding it, keeping an eye on increasing or decreasing values. Not all protective equipment is created equal. Whether you want to spray paint your car, sand your vintage table or protect your friends from your coughs and sniffles, you need to be sure that the mask you're wearing will filter harmful particles. 

Simply follow the onscreen instructions and wrap any material you wish to test firmly against the Canary's intake and exhaust port. If the ambient air is too clean, quickly light a match or a tiny piece of paper to make some smoke. When the light turns bright green, you can remove the material and the Canary will display the percentage of particles blocked. 

Office life has become excessively sedentary in the past few years. The Canary can be set to give you a friendly reminder as often as you like between any two work hours. This way you'll avoid strained eyes, cramped legs, and a sore bum. You can even add a favourite break song to accompany the dancing reminder.

You can also add custom animations for birthdays, New Years and any other special occasions or important reminders.

While in clock mode or in photo frame mode, you can activate a covert function, locking the Canary until a tap code is entered.
